Lotus 56 Indy - 1968 Indianapolis 500

based on the Lotus 56: a gas turbine-powered four wheel drive car that Colin Chapman entered for the Lotus team. It was first used in Indianapolis 500 mile race in 1968, where driver Joe Leonard was able to take pole position and keep a high position during most of the race, only to retire when the car hit trouble with only a few laps left. The car was later used in Formula 1 in 1971 under the designation “Lotus 56B”.
- a full detailed, multi-material kit featuring white metal, resin, etching, turned parts, rubber tires and silk screen decals allowing for maximum representation of the original vehicle.
- a selection of metal parts are finished through plating.
- left tire that was painted yellow on J.Leonard's car (used to differentiate cars) replicated with a combination of a rubber tire and a resin part.
- body cowl can be removed allowing for view of the detailed interior after completion.
